Her love for music has manifested itself in three areas throughout her life: singing, djing, and dancing. She has studied and performed with Alvin Ailey’s Dance Troupe as well as in classical ballet and modern jazz venues. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Mikke B is influenced and inspired by the diverse flavors and talents of various musical communities. She is proud to have been lead and background vocalist in many bands over the last 20 years which included NT-40,Pittsburgh’s best R & B Dance Band House of Soul, Just Us, and her own brainchild ALKEMI, just to name a few. You can hear her vocal contributions on many recordings today including local fund band “Funk Shui” on their debut album “True”.
