Geils Band came out the definitive harmonica anthem, “Whammer Jammer.” His musical influences include titans of the blues such as Little Walter, George Smith and Walter Horton, but also modern harp legends such as Charlie Musselwhite, William Clarke, Jason Ricci, Dennis Gruenling and Chris Michalek. Before joining up with TeraBlu, Mojo played harp with several bands, including the Jump Start Blues Band, (founded by the inimitable Jimmy Seville). Bassist - David Morgenstern On clear summer days, growing up under the snow capped peaks of Colorado, David Morgenstern always felt the music in his heart. His Mother played piano, and he always asked her to boogie-woogie.
It made him jump and laugh.
During the day while his Father worked, the garage was empty and all his. With a record player, tennis racket, electric cord and suitcase, he would mime an electric guitar playing through an amp. He charged the neighborhood kids one cent for the show.
Times have changed but the money still seems the same. Playing music has brought him close to a lot of people. He has thumped the bass with some very inspiring musicians from the great blues bars of Chicago and east. Letting music flow through his veins, he played many road houses and festivals traveling the Midwest to the south and through the western states.
To this day, David always feels like he is still at home playing the blues from his living room, but has invited the bar to pull up and listen. Let's boogie.
